When's the last time you stepped into a Hollister store? If your answer is something along the lines of "It's been a while," you're not alone. The Ohio-based brand is far-removed from its late 2000s heyday, reducing its physical presence over the last decade. Yet, the brand owned by Abercrombie & Fitch Co. has quietly been rebuilding itself as a formidable destination in the ever-competitive space of casual-wear mall brands—and it's been partly doing so by tapping into the world of football.
Referred to as "soccer" within the U.S., the global sport is a hot topic given that the 2026 World Cup™ tournament returns to North America for the first time since 1994. As such, Hollister has worked with FIFA to commemorate the occasion with special-edition, graphic-heavy apparel rooted in sport. Some items feature retro-inspired graphics from previous World Cup™ tournaments—namely Mexico '86 and U.S.A. '94. Product for crowd-favorite national football teams like Brazil, Spain, and Italy also form part of Hollister's recent lifestyle-ready lineup for fans of the global game.
The revamped label has also looked to some of the world's most-popular football leagues to create items for everyday use. LALIGA's Real Madrid, for example, has a quarter-zip sweatshirt, hoodie, and t-shirt; Club América and Chivas de Guadalajara from Mexico's Liga MX also appear across a number of fashionable pieces.

Away from its gear dedicated to national and domestic football teams, and the World Cup™, Hollister has put together a 22-piece capsule with Kappa, the world-renowned Italian sportswear brand founded in 1967. Legendary for providing some iconic kit designs over the last 59 years, Kappa brings its elegant football style to Hollister's youth-driven, laidback aesthetic to create a seasonal capsule perfect for matchday and any other occasion.
Kappa's instantly-recognizable Omni logo—a silhouette of a man and woman sitting back-to-back—is accompanied by "Hollister" text instead of traditional "Kappa" messaging. A pitch-inspired oversized jerseys, matching tracksuit, fleece shorts, and more blend sport and fashion.
"This partnership is grounded in a shared approach," said Corey Robinson, chief product officer at Abercrombie & Fitch Co. "One that treats soccer not just as a sport, but as a lifestyle, resulting in pieces designed to resonate well beyond a single season."

The Kappa x Hollister football-inspired collection releases online an in stores on Thursday, April 30. Additional items will release via Hollisterco.com and Hollister locations throughout the remainder of 2026, with pieces for the whole family.
