Official photos of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Royal” have loaded, giving the world a comprehensive look at what to expect on Saturday, Oct. 10.

As initial reports shared, the latest reissue is as close to the original release as possible: the overall shape and shade of blue has been reconsidered from 2017 (the last time the retro dropped).

What's particularly special about the October 2026 pair is the shoe box in which it arrives, which showcases a young Michael Jordan wearing the "Royal" AJ1 with a matching Jordan Flight suit more than 35 years ago.

For 2026, Nike will deliver the Air Jordan 1 Retro in its traditional High OG construction rather than the High ’85 cut. That means classic collar height, original panel proportions, Nike Air branding on the tongue, and the familiar Swoosh placement that defined the early Retro era. While speculation previously suggested an ’85 shape similar to the anniversary “Bred,” confirmation now points toward the standard Air Jordan 1 High OG build.
