Jordan Brand is opening the doors to a new global creative platform with the launch of Jordan Design Studio, an initiative built to bring together emerging talent across design, art, storytelling, and culture.
Set to begin this summer, the program will connect young creatives from around the world through a network of city-based workshops. The goal is to give selected participants the opportunity to learn from established mentors, develop their ideas, and contribute to the next generation of Jordan Brand storytelling.
To launch the initiative, Jordan Brand has brought in eight creative mentors across key cultural cities, including Seoul, Tokyo, Mexico City, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Beijing, and Shanghai. Each mentor will lead a local cohort of emerging creatives, helping guide them through the process of building ideas rooted in their own communities.
The workshops will bring together artists, designers, and storytellers, with each group tasked with reimagining one of the most important sneakers in Jordan Brand history: the Air Jordan 1.
For this first edition, participants will focus on the Air Jordan 1 “Love Letter,” using the silhouette as a canvas to explore personal expression, cultural connection, and the lasting influence of the model that started it all.
At the end of the workshop series, finalists from around the world will be selected. From there, only one creative will have the chance to leave their mark on Jordan design history.
The Jordan Design Studio continues the brand’s broader push to support creative communities beyond sport, giving young talent a direct platform to shape ideas that reflect where culture is moving next.
More details on the Jordan Design Studio, including participating mentors, city cohorts, and final selections, are expected to be shared in the coming months.
