A Jackie Robinson-Inspired Nike V5 RNR Appears Ahead of April 15

NIKE, Inc. is continuing its tradition of honoring Jackie Robinson with new product launches ahead of April 15, the date that marks the anniversary of the player's historic debut in Major League Baseball (MLB).

Although multiple items and initiatives are expected to appear over the next month, a V5 RNR clad in a black and off white color scheme kicks off the celebration. The budget-friendly pair features "42" iconography on the tongue, with Robinson's name landing on the spine of each shoe.

The sneaker's design proposal is simple, but its importance cannot be overstated.
