Nike KD19 Unveiled With Slim Reaper Energy

Nike Basketball has officially revealed Kevin Durant’s latest signature model, the Nike KD19, continuing one of the brand’s longest-running performance lines. The silhouette is set to make its on-court debut on March 16, with Durant introducing the model in game as the next step in his signature series.

At the center of the Nike KD19 is a multilayered cushioning system built around the return of full-length Zoom Strobel — a setup previously seen on the KD12. This is paired with a Cushlon 3.0 midsole and a 3D-molded sockliner, creating a ride focused on responsiveness and comfort over extended play. A midfoot shank is also integrated for added stability, helping balance the softer cushioning platform during quick movements and directional changes.

Visually, the Nike KD19 introduces a bold new element through its sculpted TPU exterior. The defining “dagger” shape, created through a dual-injection process, wraps the midfoot and heel to provide both structure and lockdown. The layered construction gives the shoe a distinct profile while reinforcing its performance focus on containment and support.

Up top, the model features a breathable textile tongue and a mix of synthetic and molded materials, while subtle personal details tie the shoe back to Durant’s career. His No. 35 and No. 7 jersey numbers are incorporated into the outsole, adding a quiet nod to different chapters of his journey.

Speaking on the design, Nike Basketball’s VP and Creative Director Ross Klein said, “Across basketball, few players are as smooth or as dangerous from anywhere on the court as Kevin Durant. The KD19 reflects that—built for responsiveness, comfort, and the ability to get to any spot and score.”

The Nike KD19 continues Nike Basketball’s focus on blending performance innovation with athlete-driven design, positioning Durant’s latest signature as a key model in the brand’s current lineup.

The Nike KD19 will be available June 13 exclusively on SNKRS before launching globally June 17.
