Nike Turns the Vomero 5 Into a Football Cleat

Nike is taking the Vomero 5 from the street to the gridiron with the upcoming Nike Vapor Pro Vomero 5 “Metallic Silver.”

First unveiled earlier this year atNike Football’s The Opening, the cleat translates the Vomero 5’s layered running aesthetic into a football-ready build. Black mesh forms the base, while Metallic Silver overlays, reflective-style striping and oversized silver Swooshes give the upper its familiar early-2000s look. A black sock-like collar extends above the shoe, while a geometric-patterned heel panel adds another layer of detail.

Closer looks also reveal “AIR ZOOM” branding along the lateral forefoot, with a visible Zoom unit positioned underneath the heel area of the translucent cleated plate. The outsole keeps things mostly white and clear, exposing the cushioning setup beneath the foot. Each pair also comes with additional black, red and neon green laces for a more customizable finish.

The Nike Vapor Pro Vomero 5 “Metallic Silver” releases November 16 at 10 AM ET through select Nike retailers such as Hibbett and DICK's Sporting Goods for around $170.
