Victor Solomon’s work has long centered on the concept of the trophy — not just as an object, but as a symbol of achievement, pressure, and purpose. During All-Star Weekend, Solomon partners with Nike and Shoe Palace Melrose to present a special collection and immersive gallery experience in Los Angeles.

The collaboration highlights three footwear designs rooted in L.A.’s identity. The Air Force 1 “Sunset Strip” channels the energy and nightlife of the iconic boulevard through a refined, stage-ready execution. The Air Max 90 “Downtown Diamond District” draws from the craftsmanship and resilience associated with L.A.’s jewelry hub, exploring how materials are shaped and polished under pressure. Rounding out the trio, the Air Foamposite One “Westside Beaches” reflects the movement and calm found where the city meets the Pacific.

Solomon’s vision extends beyond footwear. Shoe Palace’s Melrose flagship will transform into a gallery space open exclusively during All-Star Weekend, beginning Friday and running through the weekend. The activation includes hands-on workshops designed to connect community and craft.

“Jeweled Nets” invites participants to embellish a take-home basketball net with crystals, chains, and metal charms, reimagining a functional court element as sculpture. “Blank Surfaces” offers the public an opportunity to customize pure white mini basketballs and backboards using Solomon’s line and grid language. “Message in a Vessel (Ball)” allows guests to fill pre-built mini plastic basketballs with curated paper elements, creating a collectible art object.

The Victor Solomon collection and gallery experience at Shoe Palace Melrose merges sport, design, and community during one of basketball’s biggest weekends.

The collection releases February 13 on a first-come, first-served basis at Shoe Palace, located at 7725 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, in limited quantities.
