Under Armour is bringing its baselayer DNA to footwear with the launch of the UA Flare, a bold new sportswear silhouette built around movement, texture, and a second-skin feel.
Retailing for $160, the UA Flare introduces Liquid Baselayer technology, a new footwear innovation inspired by the close, adaptive fit of Under Armour’s signature Baselayer apparel. For the first time, that concept is being translated into a shoe, using an innovative foaming process designed to move naturally with the body.
Visually, the UA Flare is made to look like motion in physical form. A two-tone knit upper adds depth and texture, creating a softened, almost blurred effect across the silhouette. Underfoot, a high-resiliency PU foam setup delivers responsive energy return, giving the model a balance of comfort, movement, and visual impact.
The debut also follows the silhouette’s first appearance on the runway during Feng Chen Wang’s Paris Fashion Week show, where a collaborative colorway was previewed. That version is expected to release later this year, while the inline UA Flare is available now.

Built for athletes who carry their movement and self-expression beyond the field, the UA Flare gives Under Armour a new lifestyle-leaning sportswear model with a distinctly technical foundation.
The Under Armour UA Flare is available now for $160.
