Nike, Inc.'s commitment to the East continues with a first-look at the Air Jordan 6 "Xuanwu" retro.
Reminiscent of an Air Jordan 1 High from 2025, the newly-surfaced style seemingly references an important deity in Chinese mythology—the "Black Turtle of the North." The figure is one of the Four Symbols of Chinese constellations, representing the north, winter, and water. Xuanwu is depicted as a tortoise entwined with a snake, and symbolizes longevity, strength, and protection.
The impending Air Jordan is likely to be exclusive to China and surrounding nations in Asia. Its "Light British Khaki/Black/Sail/Light British Khaki" color scheme nods to the revered turtle, securing a premium build for the popular signature sneaker, which celebrates its 35th anniversary throughout 2026. Shimmering "Metallic Gold" accents appear throughout the pair, adding another touch of luxury to the project.
Stay tuned for firm Nike.com/Jordan release details. The pair is expected to land at select retailers by April.
